Please review the attached proposed amendment to LBR 5005-4(f) regarding electronic filing. The proposed change permits an ECF User to file a digital copy of the Declaration re: Electronic Filing signed by the debtor. The declaration will no longer need to be submitted to the court on paper with a "wet" signature. However, attorneys are reminded that the rule continues to require that (1) a signed petition and accompanying papers must be in the possession of the attorney at the time the petition is filed and (2) the attorney must retain any signed documents requiring verification for one year after the case or proceeding is closed.
