Section 603 of the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 provides for random audits of consumer bankruptcy cases to determine the accuracy, veracity, and completeness of information provided by the debtor under sections 521 and 1322 of the Bankruptcy Code. These audits were suspended in March 2020 due to public health concerns arising from COVID-19. The United States Trustee Program will resume these audits on March 13, 2023.
